Kik is any type of those cross platform propietary instant messaging applications which is an attempt at allowing the Blackberry Messenger experience towards wider audience. Kik also nicely sustains pop-up push notifications or a live tile so that you always get the note. For the cross stand experience, Kik is also designed for iPhone and Android, though not any longer Blackberry.
