Google Maps is a one of the most used mobile apps on iOS and Android devices. This is a provides fast access to a variety of location-based-services, and, in the case of the Android version, provides real-time voice-guided navigation (and for free).
Today Google unveiled the web-based version of Google Maps, which works with Android and iOS devices. The browser version lacks many of the features that can be found in the apps (like multi-touch and voice-guided navigation), but it provides an effective way to browse a map while in the browser without having to flip over to the app.The web version will be a welcomed addition to those that don't have it preinstalled.
